Pittsburgh Cultural Treasures Initiative – Phase II

Launched in 2021 as part of a national initiative by the Ford Foundation, and locally by The Heinz Endowments, to boost support to arts groups and cultural organizations representing communities of color across the U.S. PACE will develop and manage a capacity-building program geared to the specific needs of African-America led arts groups.

To kick off Phase II of the PCTI program, PACE held an Open Space event on October 5, 2022. This was the first of many opportunities to connect with the Pittsburgh Cultural Treasures Community in person. This event provided invitees with the space and format to design an agenda that focused on issues of concern and interest to their community, both as present and prospective participants in Phase II of the Pittsburgh Cultural Treasures Initiative.

More information on the event can be found here: Open Space Summary

We welcome input from those that were unable to attend the event. Links to the main areas of discussion that came out of the Open Space can be found on this page. Please feel free to add your thoughts and comments in the forms below each section. Please limit your responses to one form per Theme.

We welcome any additional comments and thoughts as we move through this program.
